Erin & Jon | Springfield, IL Spring Engagement Photographer

AHH! This is an engagement session I have been hoping and waiting to photograph for 11 years!!! I went to high school, middle, grade school and even Sunday school with both Erin and Jon. I remember when they started dating our junior year, I remember thinking how absolutely perfect of a match they would be, and how extremely cute they were together. Both Erin and Jon are the kindest, most genuine people, and who better than to end up with each other? It is always so hard to tell grade school crushes from love, but these two were the real deal and I just knew they were going to be together forever.

When I met up with them for their engagement session last week, it was like hanging out with great friends again, even though it has been awhile since I have seen them both. I got to catch up with them about their adult lives and hear about Jon’s adorable engagement surprise for Erin – he asked her to marry him in the venue they have chosen for their big day – an old canning factory. I also got to give him so much grief about him taking 11 years to ask her haha!

Spring showed up just in time and we got the perfect backdrop to capture Erin and Jon’s love! And oh my goodness, these two have not changed one bit. They are still both so kind, so sweet to each other (with a little bit of poked fun thrown in there) and they still kiss like they started dating a week ago! I enjoyed every minute of getting to hang out with Erin and Jon as an engaged couple and I am ecstatic to be apart of their wedding next year!
