Lauren & Zach | Springfield, IL Venue 1929 Summer Wedding Photographer

Lauren and Zach’s wedding day was long awaited, but so completely worth the wait! They were originally supposed to get married in May, but covid obviously had different plans for them. They had to push it back to September, chang venues and then make cuts to their guest list, but finally their day arrived and it could not have been more perfect!

Lauren and her bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready downtown Springfield at the beautiful Willow and Birch salon while Zach and his guys enjoyed their morning at Zach’s childhood home in Petersburg. Both of them were so excited and just so thankful that the day has finally arrived. Lauren and Zach got married in Zach’s hometown church. Their ceremony was simple but meaningful. Both of them teared up when Lauren walked down the aisle and they saw each other first the first time. Zach also got emotional while saying his vows. It was seriously so sweet! They officially became Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson and cheered as they got to walk back down the aisle as newlyweds!

After, we traveled to New Salem for some fun portrait time! Zach and Lauren’s huge wedding party was such a blast to hang out with! I have never met a more welcoming group and they were extremely supportive of Lauren and Zach. I just loved seeing them surrounded by so much love and encouragement! Lauren and Zach were so excited for some quiet portrait time before their reception and this turned out to be my absolute favorite part of the day! They both have this incredible way of communicating with each other, even without saying a word (which was also mentioned in Zach’d brother’s best man speech), and it was so sweet to watch them enjoy the first moments of being married!

Finally, we arrived at Venue 1929 for Lauren and Zach’s reception. It was such an intimate event with just their closest family and friends there to celebrate them! To end the evening we ventured outside for golden hour got even more portraits of Zach and Lauren in that perfect sunset light! The perfect ending to the perfect day, I am so excited to share so many images from Lauren and Zach’s wedding day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Stephenson, I could not be any happier for you both!!

Zach’s wedding ring was his grandfather’s wedding ring, how sweet?
