Rebecca & Tanner | Staunton, IL Elegant & Romantic Summer Wedding Photographer

Sweet Rebecca and Tanner were married by his cousin at the historic courthouse in Carlinville. Rebecca had been looking forward to their first look for such a long time, she was a little nervous, but Tanner’s presence made her feel totally at ease while I snapped away at their reactions towards one another. He was so excited to see his bride.

Rebecca is a third-grade teacher so I just knew everything would be planned to the very last detail – and it was. Rebecca went with a very formal, elegant, and romantic theme. Her color palette was white, ivory, burgundy, black, and gold. Holding a beautiful bouquet of roses and hydrangeas arranged by her mother, Rebecca walked down the aisle with her dad and stepdad on either arm. It was a lovely moment as they handed over their daughter to her future husband.

It was such a warm sunny July day. The ceremony was short and sweet but focused completely on the bride and groom. Tanner and Rebecca had 6 sets of grandparents present, which is quite rare, so that was very special for both of them!

We took advantage of the gorgeous doors outside the historic courthouse in Carlinville for formal photos of the newlyweds and then they were ready to celebrate!

We took a party bus with the wedding party to Staunton for the reception, which was a lot of fun. The reception was gorgeous – Rebecca’s mom had gone above and beyond decorating. Rebecca loves flowers so her fairytale wedding had come true with flower arrangements on the tables complimented by gold chargers.

We were blessed with a beautiful sunset for their golden hour photos, which turned out stunning and definitely some of my favorites from the day. It was the perfect time for Rebecca and Tanner to share a few quiet moments before their big party. The happy couple was surrounded by tons of friends and family to help them celebrate.

Something I loved, being a dog mom to two pups, was that Rebecca and Tanner have two puppies themselves – Trigger and Tiller – so they handed out dog treats for their guests to take home for their fur babies. So cute!

I had so much fun getting to know Rebecca and Tanner over the last year and I just knew these two were made for each other since I met them at their engagement session. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Elliott, I wish you the happiest and longest marriage!
