I have been waiting a long time to meet Scott and Alexis. They are great friends with my great friends Kara and Kyle so I knew we wouldn’t have a problem getting along. We tried to meet up for their engagement session a time or two and the weather kept giving us the run-around. Finally, we had a gorgeous August evening to make it happen!

Scott and Alexis are currently living in the Alton area where Alexis is finishing up dental school so we met down there to capture their love. First stop – The Old Bakery Beer Company. This place was so cool and what better way to start an engagement session than with an ice cold brew?! Scott and Alexis love their craft beer and have spent a lot of time and many date nights at this cool spot so I love that they wanted to incorporate it.

Since I have only been to Alton a handful of  times Scott and Alexis took the liberty of scoping out all of the cool spots for photos. This makes me very nervous sometimes because I see things differently from others but oh my gosh they nailed it! We got to shoot down an adorable brick road, outside an abandoned warehouse and right along the river where the sun set perfectly. They absolutely nailed it with the locations! Not to mention how absolutely adorable these two are together. It is so apparent how in love Scott and Alexis are and after hearing about how Scott proposed in Forrest Park with a surprise champagne picnic in front of the gazebo, I died.

Lastly, my hands-down FAVORITE thing about these two – they have a sweet rescue pup named Ollie – short for Ollivander. Get it? Harry Potter and dogs!! Are Alexis and I not the same person?!
