Ali & Dave | Illini Country Club Springfield, IL Old Hollywood New Years Eve Winter Wedding Photographer

Ali and Dave are high school sweethearts who officially started dating on New Years Eve so it was only appropriate for them to get married in their home city on their favorite holiday! Ali and Dave both grew up in Springfield and met at Sacred Heart Griffin High School. They traveled their own ways for college but kept their relationship going and finally found their ways back to each other after school. I loved being a part of their special day as they rang in the new year as Mr. and Mrs. Farmer!

Ali was a stunning bride, so classic and beautiful. Her and Dave were going for an old Hollywood look for their special day and they definitely nailed it! The girls spent the day prepping with hair and make up, while the guys relaxed and celebrated with Dave before he finally got his first look with Ali. It was such a special moment as they got to see each other for the first time and I could tell Dave was just smitten with Ali! Afterwards we headed out for some Downtown Springfield photos before the sun set with their bridal party. It was so much fun to celebrate with these two and capture some classic photos of them!

Everyone relaxed for a bit before it was finally time to head to the church. Ali and Dave wanted a ceremony in the beautiful Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. Ali arrived in the most gorgeous vintage car with her mom and her dad got his tearful first look with his beautiful daughter before walking her down the aisle to Dave. The church was warmly lit as Ali and Dave entered into the sacrament of marriage and had their first kiss as husband and wife! Surrounded by so many close family and friends, it was such a special ceremony in the church Ali grew up in.

Their guests lit sparklers on the steps of Cathedral in the most beautiful send off for Ali and Dave. Then it was time to head onto Illini Country Club for their New Years Eve celebration! Ali and Dave did an amazing job planning all of the perfect details at Illini. They were greeted with a boxwood wall and champagne fountain and the ballroom was dressed with hanging florals and warm candle light. It was such a beautiful space and the design team really killed it! Ali and Dave love live music, so they had the amazing Bamboo Forest Band play for their special night. The dance floor was packed all evening and the guests truly had such an amazing time celebrating the newlyweds. Ali and Dave had a blast with confetti thrown at midnight and a first kiss of the New Year with each other. The entire day was so special and I was honored to be a part of capturing Mr. and Mrs. Farmer!
