I adored being a part of Ashley and David’s wedding day! It was truly one of the most laid back, fun celebrations and I got to capture it right alongside my video partner, Lydia! Ashley and David actually went to the same high school, but didn’t really know each other. It wasn’t until after high school when they met through mutual friends and started dating. After seven years, David finally asked Ashley to marry him!
Fast forward to their wedding day, a warm and sunny summer day. Ashley and David decided to throw their celebration in such a special place to them, David’s parents’ pasture in front of their house! They had a gorgeous ceremony site set up among the trees and a beautiful tent to host their reception. After they both finished getting ready, they met in the front yard for an adorable and unexpectedly emotional first look. Ashley and David told us they weren’t exactly the emotional type, but a few happy tears were shed when they finally got to see each other and read their private vows.
Next we traveled a little to a nearby pasture for some fun bridal party photos and photos with Ashley and David. Their bridal party did a great job as their hype crew and really kept Ashley and David laughing and having fun! After portrait time, we headed back to get them officially married! Ashley’s dad walked her down the aisle to David and proudly gave his oldest daughter away. Ashley had a little surprise for David as she “iced” him the second she got down the aisle to help him loosen up! Their close friend officially married them under the trees, they shared their first kiss and walked back down the aisle with the biggest smiles on their faces!
Before Ashley and David joined their reception, we went across the street to David’s childhood friend’s pasture where they had the most beautiful willow tree for gold hour photos. It was so much fun to capture these moments with Ashley and David, freshly newlyweds!Â
Ashley and David threw one heck of a celebration under the tent. They had Azteca Mexican food truck, signature cocktails, confetti cannons to kick off their grand entrance and all of their amazing friends and family to help them enjoy their first night of marriage! The dance floor was lit all night long and Lydia and I enjoyed every minute of capturing it all! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Cravens! I am so excited to share more images from their beautiful day!
