Brooke and Pete’s wedding day was so laid back and fun! Brooke was definitely one of the calmest brides I have ever had and considering that we had a 90 degree day with crazy Illinois humidity, she really took it is stride! The entire day, Brooke and Pete were surrounded by all of their closest family and friends who helped them celebrate their marriage. Their families were so welcoming that we felt right at home the entire day. They also have the cutest son, Jack who was definitely the star of the show!
Brooke a Pete originally married in a private ceremony last summer, so they had a beautiful blessing of their marriage at Blessed Sacrament Church to kick off the festivities. Then, we traveled around Springfield in their party bus to capturing their portraits. Pete kept everyone laughing all day, and Brooke’s calming presence really allowed for everyone to have a great time celebrating the newlyweds!
Their reception was at the Expo building at the fairgrounds and it was absolutely gorgeous! I learned that it was a group effort the day before to set everything up perfectly to Brooke and her mom’s vision. Brooke’s dad is a carpenter and built a custom bar for their event as well as centerpieces for their unique cross tables. Brooke and her mom did an amazing job making the space look fabulous draped in greenery and flowers. The party was so much fun as Brooke and Pete’s guests did not leave the dance floor all night. It was truly a beautiful day and I am so thankful to have been a part of it! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Miller! I am wishing you a lifetime of so much love and happiness!
