Carly and Nick’s wedding was the most perfect way to end the 2019 wedding season! Winter weddings are my absolute favorite and with an adorable couple like these two special people, I just knew it was going to be an amazing day! Carly is a planner, she works for the college admissions department at Illinois Wesleyan so I just knew she would have every last detail of her wedding planned out perfectly and she did not disappoint. Her touches of gold and emerald green were gorgeous and the natural elements like evergreen and branches really brought out the winter feel of their day.

When I first met Carly and Nick it was for their engagement session in about a foot of snow. They both seemed a little nervous at first but once I got them to open up a little bit their love truly shined. On the wedding day, Nick was so caring of Carly and always made sure she was enjoying herself and keeping warm during some very cold portraits! Their bridal party was so attentive and helpful and it just felt like such a special celebration having everyone around to help. Carly’s very good friend married them a Evelyn Chapel on the Illinois Wesleyan Campus in the most beautiful and intimate ceremony.

Their reception transformed into a warm woodland oasis at Eastland Suites welcoming guests to lantern-lit tables and all things winter. Carly and Nick planned a hot cocoa bar and plenty of amazing treats to keep their guests happy! The newlyweds started off the festivities with a beautifully choreographed first dance that set the bar high for a packed dance floor the rest of the night. I was truly an amazing celebration as Carly and Nick enjoyed their first night of marriage surrounded by all of their family and friends. I am so honored to have been apart of it and I am so excited to share my favorite images!
