This session has been a long time coming! I met with Emily and Derek for the first time over Facetime last winter and I was so excited when I finally got to meet them for their engagement session! Emily and Derek knew each other in high school but did not start dating until years later when Derek worked up the courage to message Emily and ask her out. Fast forward 5 years and he was taking Emily on a trip to Niagara Falls to ask her to be his wife!

Derek is currently working through PT school in St. Louis so we decided to capture their engagement photos down at Forest Park. I absolutely love this park! We started with the art museum and then found some gorgeous spots for a more natural setting. Emily did an amazing job picking out outfits and Derek did a great keeping her relaxed and laughing the whole time. I had so much fun getting to know these two and I am so excited to be capturing them next summer for their wedding day!
