Erika & Spencer | Poe's on the Hill Sangria & Gold Rustic Chic Wedding Photographer

These two high school sweetheart had a beautiful day despite massive rainfall the day before and the threat of even more rain on their big day pushing their ceremony inside. Erika and Spencer are absolutely perfect for each other. Spencer wins the award for class clown almost everywhere he goes and Erika’s care-free attitude makes them the perfect match.

The morning of was so relaxing as the light rain finished up outside, Erika enjoyed a morning of pampering and getting ready at her grandparents house. It was fun to watch her grandmother take every picture opportunity and Erika’s mom eagerly help her to apply every last detail. From her maid of honor who made her gorgeous wedding cake, to her mom who arranged all of flowers to their close friend who officiated the ceremony, it was so apparent how loved Erika is by everyone who surrounded her that morning to help her enjoy every moment.

We had to change portrait locations a few times due to not know when and if the rain would hit but settled on some adorable white barns near their venue to capture their separate bridal parties. The girls we so sweet and helpful all day to Erika and she had adorable flower girls and a ring bearer. The guys came next with a very nervous Spencer, but a group to keep him laughing and excited for the day ahead.

We arrived at Poe’s and had more separate portrait time in their gorgeous backyard (acres of scenery). Erika got to enjoy a first look with her dad and well which was so sweet. Then it was ceremony time! Erika and Spencer’s close friend officiated for them. It was a very intimate ceremony which was perfect for Erika and Spencer. They planted a tree to symbolize their growing as a married couple and sealed their vows with a first kiss!

Finally came the celebration! We popped confetti bombs (my favorite part of the whole day!) to kick off their portraits and even enjoyed a little sunlight that popped through during Erika and Spencer’s photos. Their reception was full of people who loved both Erika and Spencer. It is so easy to see why they are so loved. I felt so welcomed by them from the moment I arrived to the time we said our goodbyes. The whole day was absolutely perfect for them and I couldn’t be more excited to show you their images! Congratulations Erika and Spencer, I wish you all the happiness in the world!
