Erin & Chris | Springfield, IL Dusty Blue, Gold and Deep Red Patriotic Summer Wedding Photographer

Erin and Chris’s wedding was such an exciting one! It was the end of July and although we figured the temps would be outrageous, we were lucky to be graced with a calm, low 80 degree day. I have known Erin for many years. We were great friends in high school, through sports and getting in trouble together even in our college years. Erin is always a fun person to be around and is one of the nicest people I know. I was honored when she asked me to photograph her and Chris’s wedding. Chris is a very simple man. He makes Erin laugh constantly and even though he tried very hard to hide his emotions that day, is obviously very in love with her.

The entire day was so relaxed and laid back. Erin got dressed in a gorgeous ball gown with the help of her mom and two older sisters just minutes before walking down the aisle – in true Erin fashion! The ceremony was performed by a priest close to Chris and Erin and was very sweet and personal. Following, we had a large break between the ceremony and reception to explore Springfield and capture some really fun photos of Chris, Erin and their bridal party.

After, we headed to the Firefighters club for a laid back meal and a huge celebration with all of Erin and Chris’s closest friends and family! We ended the evening with some sweet golden hour photos on the dock along Lake Springfield and it could not have been a more perfect evening! I am so happy for my adorable friend, Erin and her sweet hubby Chris. Congratulations you two – I wish you all the happiness in the world!
