I have nothing but amazing things to say about Jordan and Devin. It has been an amazing journey watching them grow as a couple and getting to know them both so well. Devin is absolutely hilarious and does his best to make everyone in the room laugh and Jordan, she just has the most adorable laugh and she just lights up the room. Devin is a brave police officer who willingly keeps us all safe and Jordan is a clinician at the hospital who strives to help each of her patients. They are both such caring people and they way they care for each other and the ones they love is so incredible. Everyone in their wedding, their parties, their friends and family were so excited to see these two finally tie the knot! So I would love to say it was a beautiful October day, however, it was absolutely freezing for October and we even saw some sleet/snow flurries during formal photos. Jordan was well-prepared, however as she had the cutest flannels for the girls to wear over their dresses and it looked as though she had planned it perfectly that way!
Jordan and Devin’s first look was super sweet. They were both nervous, even if they won’t admit it haha, but you could tell all the worries melted away as soon as they saw each other. Then we got to spend the early part of the afternoon – in the freezing cold, yes – but capturing some amazing memories of them hanging out with their awesome bridal party! Lincoln Park was the perfect setting as the trees were beginning to bloom just right. Once formal photos were finished we headed to the Artisan’s building to get the happy couple nice and married! Jordan and Devin’s officiant was a close friend, so you can image the ceremony was fun and memorable. The two of them repeated their vows, exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss!
Before I could let Jordan and Devin head into their ceremony, I had to sneak them away to a site on the fairgrounds for some quiet, newlywed moments, and to capture just a few more images of them after making things official! We brought along a plaid blanket as the temps were still in the low 30s, but Jordan and Devin rocked it anyways and powered through for some fun shots! The reception was decorated beautiful by Jordan and her mom. Each table was graced with beautiful arrangements they handmade! The party went off without a hitch including hilarious speeches and sweet dances. I am extremely honored to have been apart of two of the most caring people’s wedding. Congratulations, Jordan and Devin. I wish you the absolute best!
