Katelynn & Cameron | Poe’s On The Hill Springfield, IL Sage & Ivory Spring Wedding Photographer

Katelynn and Cameron’s spring wedding day was the perfect way to start the 2023 wedding season! Their wedding day went from windy and rainy in the morning to sunny and calm in the afternoon. I have known Katelynn and Cameron for years and have learned that they are really close with their families, so family was really important to both of them to incorporate throughout their day! Katelynn, Cameron, and their families put so much effort into planning their day and it all came together so beautifully.

Katelynn spent the morning at their home, which sits right on Cameron’s family farm, the perfect backdrop for their wedding photos! All of the women in Katelynn’s family were with her for hair and make up in the morning and I loved capturing their laughter and excitement for the day. Cameron got ready up the road, in his childhood home, with his groomsmen. It was then time for Katelynn and Cameron to see each other, so we headed out to their property for the first look. They both smiled so big as Cameron turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time and so many nerves melted away! Then we got to spend a few quiet moments capturing them in such a special place. Afterwards, we grabbed some photos of their bridal party and headed to their venue to make it official!

Before the ceremony, Katelynn snuck away to share a first look with her dad. It was such a sweet and emotional moment that had almost everyone in tears! Katelynn’s dad was so proud as he walked his youngest daughter down the aisle to a smiling Cameron. They were married in the church Cameron grew up in by Katelynn’s pastor and it was a very sweet ceremony. You could feel all of the love from Katelynn and Cameron’s family and friends the entire time. After saying “I do”, they exited the church and were sent off with flower petals! We traveled to one last spot for portraits since the spring weather finally cooperated. We had so much fun taking some just married photos of the newlyweds and photos with their energetic bridal party. Katelynn and Cameron were so happy to finally be married and smiled ear to ear the entire time!

After photos, it was time to head to Poe’s on the Hill for Katelynn and Cameron’s grand entrance! The space was decorated beautifully with greenery and touches of ivory throughout. As everyone finished dinner, we snuck Katelynn and Cameron out to an open field for some golden hour photos. We were blessed with the perfect sunset to capture even more gorgeous portraits! They finally headed back to their reception and never left the dance floor, Katelynn and Cameron celebrated with their closest family and friends all night! I am so honored I got to be a part of their big day, they are such a special couple and they truly love with all of their hearts. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ayers!
