Katie’s energetic and enthusiastic personality pairs so perfectly with Steve’s laid -back and simple attitude. These two are definitely meant to be and it has been a joy capturing this special time in their lives! The day started out with a relaxing morning in a bridal suite at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel. Katie and her girls sipped mimosas and reminisced about all their past fun and the excitement of the day. Then, Katie’s mom enjoyed many laughs and a few tears helping her put the final touches on.
It was a very warm day for an outdoor ceremony, but that didn’t matter to either Katie or Steve as they locked eyes during Katie’s grand entrance. Their officiant spoke the most beautiful words about them and Katie and Steve sealed it with a kiss!
Immediately following the ceremony – the bridal party grabbed a few drinks and we hit the best photo spots on the golf course for formal photos! This part was really fun as Katie and Steve got to spend time with their closest friends to celebrate their marriage.
We had a blast photographing their reception as well. The tables were graced with baby’s breath in beautiful mercury glass that Katie spent the last year collecting and the touches of light blue added just enough color. The night ended with a gorgeous sunset behind Long Bridge’s pond, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!
