Katrina & Josh | Lincoln, IL Dusty Rose & Greenery Rustic Fall Wedding Photographer

Capturing Katrina and Josh’s wedding day couldn’t have been better! Katrina, Josh, and their families put so much effort into planning their day and it all came together so beautifully! I have known Katrina for years and have learned that she is really close with her niece and nephew and her family in general, so family was really important to her and Josh throughout their wedding day! Both of them included their siblings and parents into their wedding day so perfectly. They got married in Katrina’s hometown of Lincoln, IL and I loved capturing them in all of the charm it has to offer. Katrina got ready upstairs at the beautiful Lincoln Lofts downtown while Josh got ready downstairs with his dad, brothers, and groomsmen. Katrina’s bridesmaids were so sweet and helpful the entire morning. Her mom and her shared some laughs and a few happy tears while putting on her final touches and Katrina made an absolutely stunning bride! Katrina’s aunt made all of the flowers which were absolutely gorgeous with sage green and rose colors! After getting ready, we captured both Katrina with her girls and Josh with his guys using the beautiful downtown scenery, then it was time to head to the church to get them officially married. Before the ceremony, we snuck in the sweetest first look with Katrina and her dad and brothers that had almost everyone in tears and a lot of laughs to calm the nerves!

Katrina and Josh were married in the church Katrina grew up in and Josh’s step dad was their minister which was the perfect special touch. The entire ceremony was so special and you could feel all of the love from Katrina and Josh’s family and friends. After saying “I do”, they exited the church in a vintage car that Josh’s dad is rebuilding which made for an adorable send off of the happy couple! We then headed to a local park in Lincoln and had so much fun taking photos with their energetic bridal party. We also got some just married photos of the newlyweds. Josh is a goofball so he of course had Katrina laughing the entire time!

The Knights of Columbus Hall in Lincoln was completely transformed and decorated with the help of Katrina’s dad and brothers! They helped build all of their reception decor, including barrels strung with lights to line the dance floor, and it all came together so well. As everyone finished dinner, we snuck Katrina and Josh out to an open field for some golden hour photos. We were blessed with the perfect sunset to capture even more gorgeous portraits! They finally headed back to their reception and the dance floor was busy all night as Katrina and Josh celebrated with their closest family and friends! I am so honored I got to be a part of their wedding day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Mayes!
