Kayla & Austin | Springfield, IL Downtown and Country Engagement Photographer

This was such a fun blast from the past for me! I photographed Austin’s senior photos over 5 years ago and Kayla came along for some of the photos. They are both such sweet people with genuine personalities that make them so easy and fun to get along with! I was so excited to hear that Austin had popped the questions to Kayla when she least expected it. She was finishing up pharmacy school and a proposal was the last thought in her mind when Austin took her up high in a ladder truck (he is an EMT) over-looking Springfield and got down on one knee. Obviously Kayla said yes!

Fast forward to their engagement session. As Kayla likes everything glitter, sparkle and glamor, I knew we had to embrace a little bit of downtown Springfield for their engagement photos. She picked out the perfect outfits for her and Austin and we explored a few of the city’s landmarks. Then, we headed out to the country for some fun sunset shots complete with a gorgeous vintage green couch that Kayla brought. I loved this thing! And the gorgeous white gown she incorporated with it was so perfect! Even a shy Austin told me after the photos were done that he had fun hanging out with his beautiful bride and capturing their love! I cannot be more happy for these adorable high school sweethearts and I am excited to share in their wedding day next year!
