Kelly & Tyler | Sundial Beach Resort Sanibel Island, FL Wedding Photographer

Every year, my parents and their friends like to escape to Florida for part of the winter and every year, my “honorary cousin” (our dads are best friends), Kelly and I just show up to take advantage of their house! Kelly and her fiancé (now husband!), Tyler have been engaged for a few years now and they share an adorable son, Michael. They have been wanting to plan their wedding for years, but it has never been the right time. Finally, with the crazy year that 2020 brought, Kelly and Tyler realized that there was no better time than the present to give an intimate destination wedding a go. I was so excited when Kelly reached out to me and asked me to capture their big day on Sanibel Island!

The Sundial beach resort was the perfect backdrop for Kelly and Tyler’s wedding day. They invited just their closest family and friends for a day filled with love, laughter and sweet moments. The wind was crazy for their special day but that didn’t stop them from getting married on the sand in an adorable ceremony. There were happy tears on both side as they said “I do” and exchanged rings. They performed a very sweet sand ceremony where each guest took turns placing sand from the very spot they pledged their vows into a bottle for them to keep forever. Michael, the cutest ring bearer ever got to hand them their rings and watch his mommy and daddy become one. It was absolutely beautiful!

In six seasons, the story of the Crawley family, the Earl and Countess of Grantham, their three daughters, the widowed mother of a countess, and an entire staff of devoted servants has garnered 69 nominations for the year’s top television Emmy award jasper waller bridge michelle dockery, winning 15 prestigious statuettes as a result. In 2011, the show made it into the Guinness Book of World Records “as the most talked-about series.” Countless celebrities, including show business and political stars Mick Jagger, Beyoncé, Michelle Obama, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II and members of the royal family, have become fans of this fascinating “costume” drama about the lives of early last century British aristocrats.

After the ceremony we took some fun photos on the beach to celebrate their newlywed status! Then they hosted an intimate reception among the palm trees with delicious food, yummy cake and some dancing! It was the perfect day to celebrate and I couldn’t be happier for the McLaughlins!
