I instantly knew I was going to connect so well with Nicole and Tyler even after our first Facetime call. They are both so friendly and welcoming, I felt like I was sitting in their parent’s living room with them. Meeting for the first time for their engagement session was no different. We met in Effingham at Nicole’s grandpa’s hunting land (also the place her parents got engaged – so sweet!). Her parents were there to help show us around and lend an extra hand. Boy was it a fun afternoon! Nicole and Tyler were nervous about their session – as almost every couple is – but they totally rocked it!

Nicole and Tyler met through another important couple in their lives on Valentine’s Day weekend. They enjoyed a night out in Decatur getting to know each other and celebrating a friend’s birthday and the rest is history! Their engagement story is definitely hilarious, but also sweet and so thought out! Nicole was thrown off guard because Tyler had seemed to be planning something, but everytime she thought it was coming, he didn’t. Nicole was extremely surprised by Tyler’s proposal when he had their apartment decorated with pictures of them, balloons, rose petals and champagne while they were at dinner. Nicole thought it was going to happen at dinner and figured they were going home to end the night, but little did she know Tyler had bigger plans (see, so adorable!).

I absolutely loved spending time working with Nicole and Tyler on her grandpa’s land. We used his vintage truck as a prop as well as their 4 wheeler and of course the gorgeous views of the timber! I am super excited for Nicole and Tyler’s winter wedding next year and can’t wait to be back in Effingham for it!
