Samantha & Dylan | Poe’s on the Hill Springfield, IL Sage and Dusty Mauve Fall Wedding Photographer

I have been honored to be a part of Sam and Dylan’s marriage journey from the moment Dylan asked Sam to be his wife! I was secretly hiding in the bushes as he got down on one knee and proposed to Sam and shortly after her and I became instant friends! I felt like I waited for Sam and Dylan’s wedding day for a long time. Sam and her mom planned the entire day down to every last detail and it was all so beautiful! Sam spent the morning getting ready with her girls while Dylan relaxed with his guys. Sam and her mom enjoyed a ton of laughs and a few tears as they put on her final touches. Sam is her mom’s only child, so the day was extra special for them!

Then we all met at Washington Park, right at the same spot where Dylan proposed for their first look. Dylan was so surprised when he turned around to see his beautiful bride! We took a ton of portraits and Sam and Dylan got to spend some time just enjoying their bridal party and families for a bit before heading to their venue. We arrived at Poe’s and Sam’s childhood pastor performed her and Dylan’s wedding ceremony. They joined in marriage by exchanging personally written vows and rings they each chose for each other. They finally shared their first kiss as husband and wife before heading down the aisle to a shower of fresh lavender as their guests celebrated them!

We caught a gorgeous sunset behind Poe’s on the Hill and got some romantic shots with just Sam and Dylan before they headed in for their reception. Sam and Dylan’s family did an amazing job decorating their reception and they got to finally celebrate their first night of marriage with all of their friends and family! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bussone, I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness!
