Stephanie & Bryan | Springfield, IL Navy & Soft Neutrals Romantic Winter Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to share Stephanie and Bryan sweet love story. They first met online and when Bryan proposed to Stephanie he recreated their first date at Obed & Isaacs and recited a poem he had written himself. I had so much fun getting to know them before their big day. They are the sweetest couple ever and their wedding was the perfect start to my year!

I spent the morning with Stephanie at her parents’ home where she and her family all got ready together. I am very close with my family so I know how special it was for them all to be together. Stephanie’s sister Becky, also her matron of honor, styled her hair. Stephanie looked absolutely stunning in her white lace dress with three-quarter length sleeves with perfect buttons.

As soon a Bryan saw his beautiful bride walking down the aisle at Christ the King Church, he wasn’t able to keep the emotions in. This wasn’t a surprise because of his deep and obvious love for Stephanie. They recited their vows in front of their friends and family so perfectly and Bryan could not wait to kiss his bride!

After the ceremony, we traveled to Washington Park for the gorgeous golden hour light then to downtown, closer to their reception, for classic portraits. My favorite part of the day was spent with Stephanie and Bryan immediately after the ceremony when they got to enjoy their first few moments as newlyweds alone. It was a beautiful day, with unseasonably 60-degree weather for January, so we were able to take lots of photos outside.

All day long Stephanie and Bryan shared sweet moments together and were completely present and living in the moment. They are both introverts, which is what makes them perfect for each other. They chose a smaller wedding because it was important for them to enjoy the day becoming husband and wife. I just adored working with Stephanie and Bryan! Stephanie has the best smile and is so photogenic.

Stephanie and Bryan planned a very intimate reception with their closest friends and family making it even more special. The Sangamo Club ballroom was transformed with beautiful floral arrangements and cute little touches that represented the new Mr. and Mrs. Stephanie and Bryan’s first dance was so sweet and Bryan was just swooning over his beautiful wife. They also organized for a caricaturist to draw their reception guests. This was such a unique favor and their friends and family loved it!

I am so happy and excited for Stephanie and Bryan and I can’t wait for you to see the photos of their wedding day! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ohl!
