I have known Brittany since her son, Alexander was born. I have gotten to photograph him and watch him grow right before my camera. I have enjoyed so many times getting to catch up with Brittany and watching her grow as a mom. I was elated when she told me she had met someone who made her happy, I knew how much she truly deserved it. Then, months later she reached out to me and told me that her and Shawn were engaged and planning a micro-wedding in just a few short months!

Fast forward to March and Lydia, my videography partner and I got to capture Brittany and Shawn’s adorable, family-only micro-wedding! It was set in Jacksonville at Brittany’s church and Alexander and Shawn’s sweet daughter, Grace were both their to be a part of their special day! I loved watching all the sweet moments in the morning as both kids helped their parents get ready just doors away. Then, Brittany’s dad got to walk her down the while and give her away with her mom. Shawn’s parents traveled hundreds of miles to witness Brittany and Shawn exchange rings and day “I do” in the most beautiful and intimate ceremony. It was all just extremely special.

After spending the day with Brittany and Shawn for what felt like just a few short hours, I knew how absolutely perfect Shawn was for Brittany. They could not take their eyes off each other and their smiles never once left their faces. You can tell they both have a deep-rooted relationship with God which in turn deepens their relationship with each other and with their kids. Shawn makes Brittany laugh just by looking at her. Lydia and I were gushing through their entire portrait time and then at the dinner about how absolutely perfect Brittany and Shawn are! I am so excited to share some images from their special day. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Forbes and family, you deserve all the happiness in the world and I am so glad you found it in each other!
