Kelsey and JT are so cute together! I have known them both for a while but I got to photograph them once before during a family session and I just knew instantly they were perfect for each other. I was ecstatic when they got engaged and asked me to photograph their wedding! JT proposed to Kelsey after holding on to the ring for awhile. He just couldn’t wait any long so he chose a random weekday, invited their families and got down on one knee. Exactly what Kelsey always wanted. We started their engagement session right where they are most comfortable, at home. A home that JT and Kelsey have spent the last few years remodeling and decorating so it was the perfect spot to photograph the first part of their engagement session! Kelsey has impeccable style and I loved using all the great spaces she designed. Their sweet pup, Wrigley joined in for a couple quick photos, wait until you see his adorable face!

After their house, we stopped by their favorite hometown bar to grab a drink! Kelsey and JT love to drink a draft beer and catch up with friends in this bar and they have spent a lot of time building their relationship and celebrating milestones right there. I loved incorporating this into their photos! We ended their session right at the spot where they met, Sherman Park. JT was on duty a Sherman police officer during a concert in the park and Kelsey came in refusing to park where JT instructed. Apparently she left an impression because JT found her on Facebook a few days later, asked her out and the rest is history! We had to finish their session in the park reminiscing over their first encounter and having a few laughs over it. JT did such a good job of making Kelsey laugh through the session. These two are so photogenic so it truly made my job so easy! I cannot wait to work with them again next year for their winter wedding day!
